Welcome to SpotBud. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.
1. Who can use SpotBud
You must be at least 17 years old to use SpotBud. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account.
3. Community rules & zero tolerance for objectionable content
SpotBud has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post, send, or share content that is:
- Harassing, hateful, threatening, or bullying;
- Sexually explicit, nude, or obscene;
- Violent, dangerous, or promoting self-harm;
- Spam, scams, or misleading;
- Illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
You also agree not to harass other users, impersonate anyone, scrape data, or misuse the app. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Content you post
You keep ownership of the content you create. By posting, you grant SpotBud a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content within the app so the service can function. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to it.
5. Reporting & moderation
You can report posts and block other users in the app. We review reports and may remove content that violates these Terms. If your content is removed, you will be notified and may appeal the decision from within the app.
6. In-person meetings — your safety
SpotBud can help you connect with other people, including to work out together in person. SpotBud does not verify users, and you meet others entirely at your own risk. Always meet in public places such as a gym, never share your home address, tell someone you trust where you're going, and stop any interaction that feels unsafe. Spotbud LLC is not responsible for the conduct of any user or for anything that happens during an in-person meeting.
7. Not medical advice
SpotBud provides fitness and nutrition information for general informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, trainer, or registered dietitian. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise or nutrition program. You participate in physical activity at your own risk.
8. Subscriptions & payments
SpotBud offers an optional paid membership (Founding Member). Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, auto-renew each period, and can be canceled anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation, and renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
9. Advertising
SpotBud may display sponsored posts from businesses. Sponsored content is labeled "Sponsored." Advertisers are responsible for their own content and claims.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
SpotBud is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spotbud LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including injuries from exercise or interactions with other users.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using SpotBud and delete your account at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
13. Apple's standard terms
If you downloaded SpotBud from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
